Rainbows and Lollipops
"This better not make it onto Facebook, the two of us sharing a rainbow." ~ Seth "The Quote Generator" Tibbitts
Thanks to everyone who helped out today, the "5th or 6th" Annual Pub Run was another tremendous success. I think all who participated were quite pleased with the turnout. Now I'm very tired.
Oh, and happy 18th birthday to Meg McNew.

This Place About to BLOW
Dirt and glitter cover the floor
We're pretty and sick
We're young and we're bored
Is everyone ready for the weekend? It's going to be sick. First, TERPS play Duke tonight at 7pm. Second, Pub Run is tomorrow. Third, Shamrock 5k is Sunday. So here's the weekend's lineup:
PUB RUN
Run starts at 8am from Slainte in Fells Point. I heard from a few people about helping, so sent an email out with assignments. If you find that you are able to help, please show up at Slainte between 7 and 7:15. We'll need help with registration and corraling people out on the course. Following the run, feel free to stick around and hang out for a bit at Slainte!
SHAMROCK 5K
Race starts at 1:15pm. Parking, for those who may be coming from areas where you have to drive, is probably best available on or near Guilford Ave, particularly under 83. Remember, if you're picking up your stuff on race day, you must pick it up by 11:30 from the Downtown Athletic Club. No exceptions are made after this time.
POST SHAMROCK
Obviously people hang out at the finish for a little while, which is always fun. But, for post-post race activities, Ed and I have conferred and will open our house for a fun afternoon on the rooftop deck. As much as I don't want to let anybody know where we live, I will do so in the name of fun. Plus, we live two blocks from the Square now, so it opens up that world of debauchery (and food). I will head home shortly after the race, so people are welcome to come over we'll say from 2:30pm. Our address is 925 S. Ellwood Ave. If you know where the Square is, it's real close. If you're not familiar, the best idea is probably to take Boston St and make a left turn onto Ellwood (near DuBurns Arena) and then park wherever you can find a spot on that street (it's a one-way street, headed north).

Pat = 30
Happy 30th birthday to our newest old man, Pat McLoughlin!
For anyone reading this, particularly if you haven't responded yet as to whether you can assist with this Saturday's Pub Run, please let me know as soon as you can if you're able to. We are definitely short a few bodies right now, which will make running this event quite difficult.
For the others who have let me know, expect an email later today with your assignment for the weekend!

St. Patrick's Pub Run
There was no way we were letting this go by the wayside, so Ed and I met with the folks at Slainte today and came up with a plan to continue this great event. The rules have changed just a little due to the concern of dispensing non-water beverages on the street while not technically possessing the necessary permitation, but the level of fun will be the same.
St. Patrick's Pub Run
Saturday, March 12
8am start time
$10 registration (in the store or race-day only)
Slainte, Fells Point
In the years we've done this event, it's always proven to be a great time and an awesome way to kick off St. Patty's weekend. The fun run route will once again be a you-call-it but we are going to limit it to no more than 6 miles if we can for the masses. You can always run more if you need to. Slainte and Kooper's will both be open for food following the event.
Help us get the word out - I'd like to see at least 100 people and 150 would be awesome!

Pub Run
Saturday, March 13
8:00am start time
$10 in advance, $15 day-of
Slainte, Fells Point (Thames St)
This event is a lot of fun. All you do is run from bar to bar and drink a beer (small one) at each stop. No route, you choose the shortest (or longest) one. At the end, your bib is your ticket for a Guinness. You'll get at least $10 of beer during this run so it's well worth it.
If you don't want to run, but would like to help out, perhaps by manning one of the "Irish water stops", let me know.
And if you plan on running this event, it would be great if you post your intentions in the comments or email me so I can get an idea of the group of sweet fun people that will be there.
Sorry to knock down Ben and T's posts, so make sure you read both of those! Particularly if you want to join Ben for his workout on Thursday.
