Mahalo

Just found out yesterday that Ed Papa Blaze Jablonski is competing today at Kona, and I know Scott Boylan is as well - so big shout outs to these two real old dudes that are true Ironmen. You can follow along starting at 1pm EST on www.ironmanlive.com.

Top runs of the day:

Craig Alexander, 2:41:59 (finished 4th overall, was 15min down on the leader off the bike, and 8+ down on eventual winner, Chris McCormack)

Mirinda Carfrae, 2:53:32 (finished 1st overall after gobbling up Julie Dibens)

Those are INSANE. Chris McCormack ran 2:43, assumed the lead after Chris Lieto (4:23 bike split) blew up. Then German Andreas Raelert caught him with 3 miles to go or so, and they ran stride for stride until the last mile when Macca opened it up after the last aid station. Definitely a race for the ages.

Meanwhile, in age group land, Ed Jablonski had a 1:13 swim and a 5:50 bike split. He is currently halfway into the run.
