Rjjazz? sounds indian. I think we have enough of those.

more than enough if you ask me. and damn, ben is getting feisty in his old age.

Haha, Ben, I'm going to laugh when he owns you at track and then runs a 2:31 (it's still sub 3:10, right?)

Ok, not really, but that's pretty funny. Baltimore has soooo many people under 3:10...

Collin said...

I just went through the spreadsheets and found 37 people on our team with sub 3:10. If you count other Falls Road affiliates like Charles Powell, Maurice Pointer, etc, we'd have ove 50... And yes, I did just waste a half an hour browsing through the spreadsheets.

Tell him if he wants to train with girls, we've got him covered. If he wants to train with guys, he's too slow. And, if he wants to train with Chrissy, he's still too slow.

Or, if he wants to train with you guys, ask him what the first half split was for this 3:10. If it was slower than 1:20, he's not allowed to come.

And, just for the hell of it, I googled "Baltimore running group" and clicked on the first link, which is baltimorerunning.com's group page. There are only ten or so groups listed, but I can still understand why he might not have clicked on the 48pt font "TEAM THAT'S WHAT SHE SAID" link. It's not exactly professional, but that's why I like it. in conclusion, don't ask this guy to look for anything on the internet; he won't find it.

fyi, melissa has run 2:52 ish... so um, she's too fast too.

This guy emailed me on Tuesday evening, and his email looked like it was fake.

We shall call him RJIZZ

He asked if people were running 80-100mpw at 7-9min per mile pace.

reading it again - i wish i hadn't made it about me. the guy just came off like such a jerk - i wanted to put him in his place. there are certainly several guys who train in baltimore who can kick my butt. i apologize if i made it sound like i am the stud of the city or something.

RM said...

No Ben, it's not your fault. It's Collin's fault. He's forced you to become like that.

I just don't think the guy has a great way with words.

That's why I don't read LetsRun.

Oh and the website:

http://www.rjjazz.com

We should put him in touch with Remus.

Ben said...

ok - he might not have approached finding guys to run with very well - but, the guy is a decent musician (if his website is accurate). he has "allegedly" played with some of the marsalis brothers as well as herbie hancock (not the signer of the constitution ryan).

RM said...

He lives in Middle River, which is probably why he thinks there is no one to run with in Baltimore.

Now, if he had played with, say, Peabo Bryson, THEN I'd be impressed.

I don't know much, but I know I love you. And that may be all I need to know.

Jen said...

The Marsalis bros are neglectful fathers, by association he is lame.

Also you've got the coolest female Indian, and the fastest male Indian...let's not ruin our lucky by adding another. If by chance he is black and drives around with a secret stash of BBQ sauce and grape soda, then we might have an opening.

Collin said...

Me?!!? What did I do? Ben already made himself look like a jerk before I posted anything! haha

RM said...

Yes but Collin, you have to understand, before you, Ben was a compassionate, understanding human being.

Then you came and started posting often absurd things and it was like handing Ben the manuscript for Civil Disobedience.

He's changed, Collin, and he's never going back.

Ben said...

ryan - i'm trying. notice my change of the title of this post.

Collin said...

Hahahaha. Yesssss. I feel awwsome now.

THE KRIS said...

you should change the title back ben. after all if it posts like a d-bag...

Andrew Jaffe said...

collin, you have way too much free time if you spent 30 minutes looking through spreadsheets..

Pete Mulligan said...

A little late but...what the heck is the guy doing in Middle River? He's been around the world, sort'a, and he lands in Middle River. No offense to those Middle Riverites out there but c'mon. Maybe he's playing at the Officer's Club at Aberdeen Proving Grounds?

RM said...

And there you have it folks - Pete Mulligan makes a rare appearance on the blog. That means this is a worthwhile post!

Yeah if I was really into jazz I'd probably steer clear of Middle River. Not much jazz opportunity there.

THE KRIS said...

hey collin, i don't think we need TWO people who spend hours looking through running spread sheets, you'll have to find another niche in the group.
