Long run on Sunday

Whoever is interested - we are planning a long run on Sunday. There had been some discussion of running outside of Baltimore - but, I put together a possible route using the USATF map tool. I didn't always "color inside the lines" so, i think it's close to 22 miles.

The workout is 2 mi easy 4X1 mi at tempo with 1 min rest - 10 miles easy - 4X1 mi at tempo with 1 min rest - 2 mi easy. It's hilly - but, with most of us training for Boston, so that's the idea. We won't have any miles marked - so it will be on time/feel rather than distance. We haven't decided what time yet - so, if you would like to join us put down what time you'd like to run.

I'd be willing to join you, but I'd probably only be up for 14-15 miles, so I'd probably just turn around at Old Ct rd.

Any start time at or after 9 am is fine for me.

Anyone else up for a shorter run?

If it is 11AM or later, I could probably do it on Sunday with you guys. Otherwise, I like the course (good job Ben!) and I'll probably do it on my own on Saturday morning at 7AM. If anyone wants to join me at 7AM on Saturday, they are welcome. Post here to let me know.

With a 3 hour workload, I'd prefer to not go after 9. I also would prefer to not start much earlier than 8.

I didn't bother to look at the map, so where does it start Ben?

That is awesome work. I was looking to do 12ish and you roll right past my house at that point. if I coud get a ride down there I could just break off at that point. My only conflict is church at 10, which I skipped last week. I know Ryan didn't want go go before 8, but could you swing 7:30 or 7:45? I would hate to make alli have to get 3 kids ready too. If not I understand. plus I am writting this pre getting the green light.

Justin, if Ben and Arjun are willing, I would suck it up and do it.

MAN I can't believe Villanova and Missouri torched their respective competitors in the manner they did last night. I didn't see that coming for sure.

Yeah I actually feel alright, which is a promising sign. My piriformises don't feel great, but they felt way worse after last Saturday's long run. Considering the route we ran today, I'm pretty pleased.

piriformis
Function: noun

: a muscle that arises from the front of the sacrum, passes out of the pelvis through the greater sciatic foramen, is inserted into the upper border of the greater trochanter of the femur, and rotates the thigh laterally

I still don't know what a pirirformus is, but the the definition uses the word "sacrum" so that's cool.
