The New Yorker on Ryan Hall

You don't need a really big chin to read this, or an Ivy League degree.

Just a little fodder as we prepare for Saturday's race, now that we are two days out...

Actually a really good sports article - how did it end up on the NYT?

It was a good article. Quite long and in depth. What a lame picture though on the front.

Al - it was in the New Yorker.

Some of my favorite quotes:

Ian Dobson: “He’s one of the few Christians I know who aren’t judgmental.”

Ryan Hall: “I just have a hard time seeing Christ being competitive,”

Then there is the dig at Gerry Lindgren...

Hall's coach: “He looks like a white Kenyan.”

Meb: "But when I asked her to come she said, ‘No, the man has to come first.’ She is a traditional woman."

His dad also got drafted by the Orioles.

"If I’m running with the midriff, it’ll be the supreme sacrifice.”

Keyans: "But you don't have that many good Marathoners"
Organizer: "No No No - they're not GOOD!"
