NYC Marathon Update

Just a quick heads up:

May 1 (which is Thursday) is the last day to register for the ING NYC Marathon under the guaranteed entry guidelines (sub 1:23 half marathon or sub 2:55 marathon). The good news is that you have all the way back to January 1, 2007 to use a time it appears.

The final damage on the wallet is $166. This includes a non-refundable $11 processing fee (multiply 100,000 x $11 to figure out just how much they make on a worthless fee for this race) and the race entry of $155.

If you don't have a qualifying mark, or you don't do it by Thursday, you can always sign up for the lottery.

So I know I'm signed up for the race, as is Jake. I put "Falls Road Racing" as my ad-hoc team in the information section. My ability to do this race may be dictated by another possible race this fall, but at this point I'm pretty sure it'll be New York on November 2nd.

Booyeah son. I put TWSS as my team name, but I guess I can always change that on my online profile thingy.

Or I can change, I was thinking about doing that anyway. We'll discuss.
