Olympic Trials: Men's 100m

Justin Gatlin, Tyson Gay, Ryan Bailey Punch Their Tickets to London!

Tyson Gay is BACK, baby! A big tailwind boosted times, as Gatlin won in 9.80 and Gay ran 9.86. Bailey ran 9.93 and finished just 0.01 ahead of Michael Rodgers. What's old is new again, apparently, as Gatlin is out to prove that his drug suspension was just a bump in the road and that he really is that good.

Jeff Demps of Florida has just not been running at the level he was in 2011, which is really too bad as he gave up football to focus on track. For Doc Patton, looks like he'll just be an alternate for the 4x100m, so hopefully he doesn't drop the baton again. Walter Dix has been battling a hamstring injury and pulled up in the semi-final to barely qualify for the final.
