Broad Street Run

SOLD OUT!

Early registration available for Broad Street at www.ibx.com/BCBSR2012.  Supposedly you have to be a BCBS member but seems like it would work for anyone.  I was pleasantly surprised but the low, low entry fee of $40 with NO additional BS fees like active.com throws at you.

If you are fast enough, you can still contact them for an elite entry.  It's a very, very fast race to do, but if 35,000 people or whatever are signing up in 6 hours, and most of them are from PHILADELPHIA, who really wants to do it anyway?

I think there were limited early-reg slots. General registration opens tomorrow at 10am.

...and it's SOLD OUT. This is getting ridiculous.

Got in this morning after an hour-long effort of fits and starts.

This really is getting stupid. Eventually every race is going to be like NYC and Boston...either a lotto or qualifying standards or charge $500 to run it or all three.

The Leap Day 4k will never be like NYC or Boston. We will however be having a lotto to get in.

Brennan makes a very good point. Leap Day Lotto 4k means everyone's got to send in $11 application fee...

Chicago Marathon will be lottery next year, I see it already. It sold out in 6 days this year. It's inevitable. I hate it.
