Figgy Pudding 5k - Volunteer Info

Thanks to everyone who said they'll be able to help out on Saturday. The race is anticipated to reach 450-500 participants, which is a fair number of people for a low-key 5k in Fells Point.

The race starts at 9:00am, according to Ben "at the square" - the end of Broadway at Thames. As discussed in the comments, it's more of a rectangle.

We shouldn't have a lot of pre-race stuff to do, just set up the finish line and get the timer going, but if you could show up between 8:30 and 8:45 that would be great. I'll have my cell on me so hit me up if you're confused or whatever (732-500-LIFE).

We'll be just working the finish line, so we'll have a few people directing people through the chute, pulling tags, putting them on spools, etc.

Should be done and have you out of there around 10-10:15.

Nah- rhombuses (rhombi?) are equilateral. I wonder if they teach that in Baltimore City school high school geometry?

"the square" is what the fell's point main street association called it. kendra and i went on a fells point ghost tour once - they said that a bunch of children were buried under there during some disease outbreak in the 1800's.

Stop making fun of his age, Ben is a spring chicken, because he killed the children in order to steal their youth.

And yes, I do in fact teach my students that RHOMBI are equilateral. They learned just yesterday that the area of a rhombus can be found by taking half the value of the diagonals multiplied by each other!

I prefer: area = s^2*sin(a) where s is the length of any side
a is any interior angle...

Ha! Kip honestly with how ragtag we ran the show this morning I don't think it would have mattered if anyone even read this at all.
