We've made a change to the workout so it has better flow...
Since 6x600 is a short workout, we're going to do 3x600, then a 2400 (1.5 miles) @ tempo, and finish off with 3x600.
If you do not wish to do the 2400, for instance Brusewitz has to leave early, you can just keep going with 600s. This workout will simulate better a 5k-10k race.
ALSO, the first BRRC summer track meet will take place on Wednesday June 24 at Goucher College. Due to sharing of the track with some clown group, they are starting the meet late (7:15pm). Some events may be canceled due to darkness, but I guess we are heading towards the longest day of the year so that's probably the best day to start a late track meet.

Clown group? LOL
The BRRC folks say Goucher turns on the lights until midnight, but I think that might only be during the school year.
Sounded funny to me, but that's what I heard.
Clown group = any group that's not us Steve.
I have read that as well about the lights, but I don't believe it. I know you're able to use the track technically til midnight or something, but that does sound sketchy. MD's track was locked down after like 8pm
Yeah, lights aren't cheap. I would be extremely surprised if they actually left them on til midnight. Not very "green" of them.
I do recall running on UMD and Towson U's tracks at night. They def did not have the lights on.
Running at night is no biggie, though. Use headlamps, or maybe the moon will be out.
Goucher always leaves the lights on, even in the dead of winter. They actually have some nice facilities with some decent trails around the campus.
what is the rest between 600's and sets?
haha ryan, that unicorn picture has got to go, i was trying to post our link to a potential new member on facebook, and that goofy ass unicorn appeared as the icon.
i don't think we want anyone who doesn't love unicorns.
and by "goofy" i assume you meant "majestic and awesome".
maybe the icon should be changed to a liger.
my working definition of a "unicorn" is a petite female with tig ol's
...so you're crazy not to like 'em
ligers are pretty majestic too.
rest between 600s is 200m jog
rest will NOT be long between 600s and 2400 or between the next set of 600s.
do NOT run the 2400 as a mile race. it should seriously be like 5:25-5:30 for most of you
I think that workout went pretty well. The reason it was originally 6x600 was to keep it easy for the recovering S7 and Eagleman people. However, for people who didn't race, I think that extra 2400m made it a pretty solid workout.
Notice that all of these distances are divisible by 200...unlike Arjun's workouts. I'm kinda OCD about that.
