Where Have The Milers Gone?

Eerily reminiscent of the song by Paula Cole (where is my Marlboro man/where have all the cowboys gone? she cried), this article from 1986 still holds true today. We don't seem to have a shortfall of milers, certainly between Alan Webb and Bernard Lagat we've got some of the faster dudes out there, but have been unsuccessful in winning some of the big meets. Thinking of Paula Cole reminds me of when my friends used to collect Marlboro miles off the boxes of cigarettes to earn prizes. We should have a workout we call Marlboro Miles, where you smoke a cig in between mile repeats.

Oh, where have you gone, Joe DiMaggio?

In other, super important news:

TODAY is FREE LAP DANCE DAY at Gentleman's Gold Club on Route 40. Located just 2 miles from my house, we could go eat at Chap's Pit Beef and then get lap dances! Anybody interested, shout me out.

And also, Wednesdays are now Wingsdays at Hooters. $5.99 boneless wing platter every Wednesday. We might need to hit that.

I wish I could report that I went to lap dance day, but alas I had no one to go with and couldn't find my sweatpants.

Wingsday will take place in the future, perhaps in a couple of weeks.
