Help

I need to call on all you Wisconsiners and Chicagonians. How do you handle the cold and avoid frostbite on certain parts of your body. The freezing part really isn't that bad, its the burning/stinging thawing process that is unbearable. This is a form of shrinkage that even George Costanza did not contemplate. Has someone invented a piece of clothing I am unaware of? A sock or scarf that can be used? I am at a complete loss and would appreciate any help that can be provided. I have asked T about this since we run together at lunch. Strangely he has not had that problem, something about more blood flow to that part of his body. Must be genetics.

You run on a treadmill.

Duct-tape works well, just a couple of pieces across the front of your tidy whities will do the trick - stops the wind dead. Also, just slather a little vaseline down there, that insulates and prevents Vienna sausage chaffing.

Unfortunately, even I am not immune to the shrinkage factor. That's why I had my grandma nit me a "Sack Sock". She always says "Keep your jewels warm baby”

Nit (nĭt) v.: The act of Terence's grandma making a sack for his testicles.

I will find a place for that in Web's Dic somehow.

I love the duct tape advice, very much like MacGyver. T the sack sock is kinda weird. I mean how did Grandma size you up?

I think under armour makes something for that?

Now I understand what you were saying on the run today J. There is a pair of Under Briefs that UA makes, Tank knows about them. Perhaps that's the link Jennifer posted...

Well kip there are briefs as well, in college the guys I skied with said they made a huge difference. They are a bit pricey. Search for Craft Pro WS Brief or Craft Pro Zero WS brief. Come to think of it I think I still have about 20yrds of windstopper fleece fabric at my parents house that you can try to cut/sew into something useful if you like.

Claire, I don't know if 20 yards would be enough to cover it.

IF YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN

And obviously you do...

Brooks Equilibrium Wind Brief.

T's G-maw c/n have woven a nicer piece of cloth.

Google it.

Build your run outfit on a solid, comfortable foundation; supportive brief transfers moisture away from the skin, ensuring dry comfort; features wind-blocking front panel protection, tunneled elasticized waist and "Runderwear" exterior label.
