Metric Marathon - Sunday

I know a couple of people are racing this event this weekend, and that others are possibly doing a long run there. Kip and I bandited last year - it was freezing cold, in fact it skeeted sleeted on us; also the course is very challenging for 26.2km (16.4ish miles).

I don't see myself handling more than 10-12 miles, so I was considering running against the course from the finish line to catch up with some people, and then turning around. I also believe there are ways to cut it off, I'll have to check the map.

If you're interested in doing this as a long run, post your intentions in the comments section below and when I return tomorrow night I'll send an email out with possible routes, etc.

I'll be there too. Should we plan to meet in the parking lot just prior to the race start...say 8 AM?

I'm in; I didn't register, so I'm planning on meeting up with you guys to do get in the Long Run. If we're looking to cut part of the course, we could just stay on Tamar Dr. after mile 12 and catch it after 14.

It must be Robin Williams' birthday or something cause TBS just played Jack and now it's Flubber.

Anyway, I'll take a look at the map and see how I can cut my run down. I don't think I can handle more than 12 right now and 10 is probably enough. If there's no Kris and no Ben, that leaves Matt, me and Brennan?

Let's meet around the start, I would carpool but I'm staying in Columbia after the run to ride. I'm going to be freezing cold all day.

I'm still planning on doing 14-16 (see 2nd comment). I'll meet up with you all around the start area (~8:00 per Matt's comment?).
