ENGAGEMENT

Thanks to everyone who helped out with Arjun's proposal. Denver was great and the whole proposal was amazing. We appreciate everyone's congratulations and assistance in the extensive plan and now it's time to celebrate! As many of you have probably heard, I locked my keys in the car about half way through the day, so I didn't get to have lunch at Metropolatin like I was supposed to. So I was hoping everyone could go out to help us celebrate Wednesday evening, let's say after the run. Let me know if you can make it and I'll make a reservation. Hope to see you all there!

F that, I said congrats on the phone the night of the deed. I trumped all these suckers.

Whoa, HEEEEY Majumdar, dont draw any conclusions from Elf's biased interpretation. It is true though that I can do whatever I want, like I would tell you to shut the F up if you werent just engaged to my good friend Melissa a few days ago. See, I have a prior commitment for that night. Yes, yes, I have a life outside of school, despite what Elf thinks.

Pongezi (Congrats) again.

Count me in for dinner.

Kip, Ryan has only taught me to expect the worst, but that tends to work in your favor, because when you do show up everyone is quite impressed.

Who are these "other friends" you claim to have? Is this like Ben's supposed wife?

Ben said...

you'll soon find out that no one should falsely claim to be married.

Ben said...

just kidding Kendra - I LOVE YOU!!!!!

1) I love the Kendra monitor's Ben's blog and fb actives. We should allow her to post.

2) I'll be there but not for dinner.

Congrats again!

actually she's never read this blog or mine. but, her "clockwork orange" mind control program works so well that any negative thoughts about her or our marriage is accompanied by nausea and physical pain that only stops through a public declaration of love.

Arjun Majumdar said...

wow, so are women born with that or is it something i can stop melissa from learning?

Ben said...

you think that's bad? we need to talk - i think i can get through the pain and nausea long enough to talk you through the basics.

Love you babe!

Congratulations :) Unfortunately, I don't think I can join you for dinner tomorrow. I left work early today b/c I felt sick. It's the second time I've been sick in about a week, so I should probaby just rest.

EILEEN is ALIVE! Awesome. Hope you plan on coming to Awards Night as well as Festivus party.

Kip, you shouldn't have a life outside of school, except for us/running. This leads me to believe that you are in fact doing something with people from school or moderately school related.

Sadly, I have no work friends, none of my friends from high school or college live here anymore, and I'm stuck with you all.

elf - i do believe i fall into the "friend from school" and "running buddy" category - and i do see you at least a couple times a month

so feel loved :)

...in a wonder girls kinda way

RM said...

oh yeah, Scotty is a friend from college. But at the same time you live in the county. I just happen to see you more frequently because of running, which is cool.

BTW I am calling you in a minute to discuss riding plans for the weekend.

WHAT??? what's engaged? Does that have to do with a commitment of some sort? Plz explain to me? (Me meaning me and my culture)

RM said...

Terence -

It is the culmination of an emotion known as love, which results in a legal and binding contract between a man and woman (sorry Joel Brusewitz, no dudes-dudes). In your culture it typically happens after offspring are produced, but in other cultures it happens prior to reproduction.

on a different note - my lovely wife is going to be on WBAL-TV at sometime between 10-10:30 am tomorrow morning.

Let me bury this one waaaaaay down here:
Congratulations! That's huge.

@Terence: I think it has something to do with signing a contract to have someone in your bed when you go home every night. It sounds nice, but I hear it costs a lot.
