Nas Was Wrong...

Hip hip isn't dead. It's just gone from gangsta to positive tip to ice rap to ... fizics flow:

The Large Hardon Collider was switched on for the first time this morning. It supposed to help solve the mysteries of dark matter, the Higgs Boson, why things have mass and why gravity is so weak. Or it's going to create mirco blackholes and rip the universe to shreds. Or it's going to piss away billions of dollars from 60 different countries. Depends who you talk to. But even if it destroys the universe at least we got this sweet video.

Best video ever. I showed it to the Science Department Head and he flipped out at how cool it is.

I agree that that video was awesome, although I read one article where the author's main evidence that the "young people" running the LHC are "crazy" was, in fact, this video. While the video itself is sick, even I can see it is a bit unsettling that the people operating the first device ever to threaten to destroy the entire world almost instantly (according to dumb people) are this serious about their work.

As far as teaching physics goes, this is the best thing to come along since Julius Sumner Miller.

My friend from Ohio just told me that his 10 yo daughter came home all scared from school because the "fucking TEACHER" to quote my friend told her there was a 5% chance the world would be destroyed.

Large Hardon???? That might have something to do with dark matter.

Nice catch there. I missed it, myself. Will there be any comments about inescapable gravitational pull?

By the way, who is dirty chewbacca? I would guess Jack Manner, but his alias is Marcia Clark, or something like that.
