A record-setting day in Boston for TWSS...
In the men's mile, Tristram Thomas suffered from poor seeding as he led his heat wire to wire, winning in a new club record 4:19.73. Tristram held the previous mark of 4:21.49, set last year at the UNC Invite. Alex Battaglino cut 7 seconds out of his time from a couple of weeks ago, running 4:28.70. Louis Foudos ran a really, really awesome race, crossing the line in 4:44.32. Greg Jubb pulled out after 800m (2:03) with an injury. And Brian Leiter, who has been training with Jubb some, ran 4:06.34 to finish 24th, which is utterly beastly.
In the men's 800m, Ed Aramayo had a breakthrough race as he sprinted to a 1:58.25 finish. This is an indoor PR, and the first time in 4 years he's gotten under 2 minutes. Coach Amy took a video which I retweeted, but I'll try and get it on the blog at some point. This is 2.5 seconds faster than he ran just last weekend at PG, and also a club record.
TERRIFIC work gents! Enjoy the rest of your time in that awful, awful city.
