This Dude is my Hero

Check out the article (link in the Title) on this guy running the full B-more Marathon with his son. As a parent of 3, I find this story captivating. He has quit his job as a private practice lawyer post 9/11 to join the Army. Been deployed twice. Adopted 3 children. Completed 3 Ironmans. Now lives in the greatest city in the world (C-ville). One word: Legit.

Regardless of if I have fully admitted it to myself yet, I no longer have the capacity to be a competitive runner and go for PRs. I can still enjoy the sport that has given me so much joy and created so many friendships. I plan on donating time to Athletes Serving Athletes here in Baltimore. They have 2 races you can participate in by challenged athletes cross the finish line. I encourage all to contemplate the same.
