Megan DiGregorio records her 4th win in 4 weekends, winning today's "Balitmore 10 Miler" in a season best time of 1:05:15. Despite the conditions, this is 3.5 minutes faster than she ran at Club Challenge, and moved her into 10th in the all-time top 10 list for 10 milers (individual). She led another TWSS podium sweep, as New Becky Parks (2nd, 1:06:38, about 2 minutes faster than CC) and Lee DiPietro (3rd, 1:07:56) rounded it out. Jackie Truncellito was 4th, in 1:08:37, and Meg McNew took 7th (1:10:33).
For the dudes, Andrew Beef Jaffe took 7th (1:00:36) and Ryan Orner was 10th (1:01:25). Joel Brusewitz narrowly avoided getting girled by Meg D, running 1:05:07. Matt Castille came in at 1:09:13, and Dave Ploskonka was out pacing the 7 minute group, running right on 1:09:40 in the middle of a 22 mile day. Pete Mulligan was just off his CC time, running 1:18:13.
Jared Jaskot ran with wife Emily, as the two crossed in the fantastic time of 1:22:18. Dr. Rodney Taylor finished at 1:22:41, and Christine Trzcinski came through at 1:23:21. Some old school TNTers, Cynthia Evans (1:28:01) and Jan Cook (1:30:59) also ran. And big Dan Goodman, coming across in 1:36:59.
In Podunk, PA, Joel Gladfelter ran his summertime favorite, the Irv Zablocky Memorial Run - a 3.55 mile event - where he has had good success throughout the years. This year he was coming in after a long comeback from his winter injury, and without the racing miles, wasn't as sharp as he's been. He managed to finish in 4th, in 21:07 (5:57/mi).
Stay tuned for more results from the weekend!
