Friday Night Lights

The deal (UPDATED):

We will have use of Kris' place as a jump-off spot for Friday's run. His address is something in the 700 block of Park Ave, like 712 or something. We will attempt to assemble as close to 5pm as possible (sorry, Ed, I'll run it again with you another day if you want). We will leave as soon as Brennan makes it there, which should be close to 5:15. Kris may or may not be running with us. Brennan is taking the holiday spirit to the MAXX and will be dressed festively, and is planning on bringing some ducats to potentially acquire hot chocolate. I like this idea and will mirror his plan.

Assuming the following: a departure of 5:15pm, a 6 mile easy run and a few minutes to scope lights, I feel like we'll be back by 6:30pm.

Other highlights of the next few days:

SATURDAY - Celtic Solstice. Volunteers should have their assignments by now, but runners you should plan on being there early! With 3000 registered for the race, parking will be challenging. My suggestion would be considering parking on Sisson St, around where Kris used to live. You're about a quarter mile from the Stieff Silver building, but nobody will know to park there. The race starts at 8:30. By the time the race is complete, awards have been tabulated and cheer is to the MAXX, I figure a Kisling's arrival time of noon.

SUNDAY - Stay tuned, time and place TBD but thinking somewhere in the realm of 8:30 or 9:00, and, pending trail and atmospheric conditions, Patapsco for a minimum 90 minute run.

No fair! Discrimination against the gimpy people who can't run!

Also contributing is that I will be coming straight from a Happy Hour meeting with a client that I have a 4pm. Let's have some fun in the holiday spirit!

Saturday I was looking to run about 18 (race in the middle). I could use the company on either end of the race. Shout.

Other option is to just run the Celtic as typical for a race of that length, and then get my longer run on Sunday. I'd have to leave Patapsco by 10:15 in order to get to Church, so I'd want to start earlier than later. I could always get mileage prior to the group setting out, too.

For hot chocolate I recommend this place: http://www.chocolateacafe.com/

Barf - if you're trying to go long, and we start at 8:30, you could start around 7:50, knock out the 5 mile run, and then meet us at 8:30. Or, if it's 9, start the same time and just run as much as you can with us.

We can rap about it later.

What is with the stupidly early start times of evening runs?

Ryan - yeah, let's chat tomorrow about the Sunday Run.
