Ilsa Paulson wins the Women's National Championship!

I guess winning a National Championship isn't always quite as big of a deal as it sounds, but I was still pretty surprised to see her name in the #1 spot with a 2:31 attached. For those of you who don't know, she ran her debut in 2007 at the New York City Marathon in 2:41 at the age of 18 (which she apparently wasn't incredibly happy with) but has been totally off the radar for marathons ever since. People have kind of trash-talked her since she's so skinny and there's been some discussion that maybe she doesn't eat enough, etc, but I think she showed everyone this weekend. The field was lacking runners such as Goucher, Lewy Boulet, and Kastor, etc, but still, a really impressive race from Paulson, especially after finishing a distant 10th less than a month ago in the US 20k championship.
