Ryan - thanks for the link to the race. I'll include it in the Fed Hill newsletter, and I'll promote it. It's a good race, and local so that's always good. Of course if anyone wins money you owe me some or at least take me out to eat.
Some good race results this weekend, as you can see. Glad to see Nowakowski racing again - he went 16:47 for 2nd place at a 5k in Ellicott City, while Orla picked up the W on the ladies' side in 19:56. Great job!
Seneca Creek 50k was also a good showcase for our runners, with Dave P picking up 5th, Travis in 9th and Alyssa winning for the women. Always sweet to get a W.
Purple Drink Athlete of the Week: by virtue of a solid time and a win, and it was all on her birthday weekend - Orla Walsh!
Don't forget this weekend is the celebration of Baltimore's favorite holiday - St. Patrick's Day! I invite and encourage you to take part in the festivities, beginning Saturday at 8am from Slainte for the Pub Run, put on by Falls Road. Registration is just $10 and entitles you to a Guinness at the end of the run. I will be there. Then after the Pub Run, go to Zero's for the St. Ides of March celebration. The evite is a few posts below this one. Sunday, wake up leisurely and make your way out to the 1:15pm start for the Shamrock 5k. And don't forget in less than two weeks we have Brennan making his marathon debut in DC - so make plans to go support him!
